Things are not looking too good in the Ideal Org race in East US. Even though they are sending out this "promo piece" to their public. 8 Orgs with ZERO points? Detroit, Boston and Miami (who have all PURCHASED expensive white elephants), are not even collecting enough to pay for the plywood to keep the windows and doors boarded up. (Remember, this is a POINTS system -- it's not equivalent to the number of dollars collected, except where the figure is 0. That is nada no matter what system it is). All orgs being ideal is truly an absurd pipe dream. And they don't even seem embarrassed to m … [Read more...]
Buy Yourself a Heroship
Things are degenerating quickly inside the bubble. How many more "statuses" can they come up with to use to beg for money? I wonder if these people are going to be presented with red tights and cape? They could then really show off their new found hero status.... Scientology is positioning itself as the comic book religion. Though in the UK at least, there are more people that identify their religion as "Jedi" than there are "Scientologist" so they need to get moving with their straight up and vertical expansion. Hello! We have a special, New Years Event Only, st … [Read more...]
Give Us Money So We Can Deliver The Purif
This is the state of "Ideal Orgs" in the UK. The guy in charge of "Ideal Orgs" is begging for money to set up a Purif in HAPI. Could it really be true that in more than 30 YEARS AFTER the release of the Purif, this org, still in the same building they OWN since 1968 STILL has no sauna? This is straight up and vertical expansion in action. And they are so hard up for donators in the UK they are trying to shame people into "completing before the end of the year" by announcing their partial donation and letting everyone know they will be the next "Humanitarian". Really this is just pat … [Read more...]
What Your IAS Donations Buy — Invisible VMs
It would appear that my posting 4 days ago about the failure of the church to update the information about their massive VM relief force in the Philippines caused a stir in the bowels of the beast. Today the church put out a press release to announce to the world the enormity of their actions (all funded of course by an emergency IAS grant). The photo that accompanied the story is at left. It shows a grand total of SIX VMs, apparently there is some mission in Manila who "activated their Volunteer Ministers" and they were joined by someone(s) from the India "Goodwill Tour." The "story" is … [Read more...]
Why Now Is The Time To Act
One of our Special Correspondents sent this in and I felt it worthy of a post: This article is being written specifically for those of you who are still "in" Scientology, still actively "on lines" or around in the orgs (although, of course, I want everyone to read it). I know there are many of you "still ins" who read this blog, probably many more than any of you actually realize. I have been exactly where you are right now. And I wanted to share some things that helped me get to a much better place across all my dynamics. There come points in everyone's life where they are fo … [Read more...]
How Many Scientologists?
This was sent in some time ago by a Special Correspondent, but there have been so many other things going on that I have not been able to get around to posting it. I think it is a good topic for discussion and this is a thoughtful and insightful writeup from someone who has considerable experience from which to base their estimates. Though there is no figure placed on the number of Scientologists, my estimate is 25,000-30,000 worldwide. These are people who may still do an extension course to maintain appearances, buy a book when it is released or attend an event -- though not necessarily go … [Read more...]
They Would Rather Forget This — the Big Ideal Org Lie
This is a fascinating look into the ever-shifting sands of corporate Scientology hype. J. Swift pulled this up from the Wayback Machine. I am sure a certain individual who cannot be named would rather it remain buried and forgotten. But unfortunately the small handful of bitter defrocked apostate unemployed bloggers on the fringes of the internet don't listen.... Back in 2004/5, COB's Ideal Orgs were the "big thing." GAG II was just a twinkle in the great man's eye at the time. Ideal Orgs were THE THING. Seattle ED Mark Arnold sent around a briefing to urge his people to get behind the … [Read more...]
Fact v. Fiction: A Tale of Two Websites
I don't normally follow statistics concerning this blog, as I am not trying to generate ad revenue (there are no ads:)). I provide this forum as a public service that I hope gets out information that might otherwise not see the light of day from within the bowels of the bubble. But the irrepressible Karen De La Carriere sent this to me yesterday and called me up and told me it was good news that people should know. I felt it was worth noting, not to beat my own drum, but to give hope to those of you who await the day when you may be reunited with friends or family who have been victim of the … [Read more...]
IAS Running Amok
The IAS seems to be worried they are going to get shafted yet again. Remember Maiden Voyage sinking without sound -- one of their two big events each year? So, they are apparently taking matters into their own hands. Holding individual "events" to celebrate reg for their anniversary. How uncoordinated have things become... If they DO hold a tent revival in Clearwater sometime, are they going to have the public show up for a second time to celebrate be regged? And by the way -- who ever heard of a lame announcement like this before? No special guest speaker? No pronouncements from Cha … [Read more...]
The Wheels Have Come Off
Thanks to all who expressed their support for the Garcia's and the first victory in their federal lawsuit in Tampa. They were much appreciated. It is a long road to travel to ever exact any measure of justice out of the RCS, but the ruling of Judge Whittemore set the tone for the journeyahead. If I was one of the church's attorneys I would be very careful about wearing out my welcome with a very smart and no-nonsense Federal Court judge. As I looked over at the sunken-eyed OSA staff and the cluster of overpaid attorneys it got me thinking about what life is like inside the bubble these days. … [Read more...]
