Thursday Funnies
The significance of the sword? Who knows. Though clearly this event is not important, it's only a "special management speaker" to be named later and something "you won't want to miss." No "mandatory attendance" Now they're "Clearing" Chicago Wonder what happened to opening the "ideal" org? 10 people is all they've got? How lame It's the current version of "Do it for Ron" -- shaming people into completing services as a "birthday gift" -- "you don't want to give a gift to Another "monumental" COB Briefing They don't even … [Read more...]
Guiding the Steady Decline of LRH PR
Hey ho -- big news! The L. Ron Hubbard Public Relations Officer (wonder if any other dead people have a public relations officer?) got an award and they are spreading the good word! I looked up this organization and this award. Gotta say, for the ONLY workable "PR technology," this doesn't seem like much of a recognition. But it is the only one they've EVER gotten. Some notable points: One, the award bestowers apparently only looked at the stuff scientology sent them -- a resume that includes a LOT of generalities ("international VIPs" and "high profile professionals" … [Read more...]
March 13th — Save the Dates (sic)
Word on the street is that there is going to be an "amazing" event for March 13th... Supposedly the "first international event" since Covid. But this amazing event doesn't have a date yet -- which seems a bit odd. No doubt, Miscavige is going to do deliver a Shermanspeak hype-fest in the Flag Auditorium like he did at New Years and this will then be sent out to scientology orgs around the world to replay. The March 13th event used to be held at Ruth Eckerd Hall every year. But it's not going to be this year. Why not? Two reasons: First, Miscavige, as I predicted, … [Read more...]
Scientology, Psychiatry and Politics
I have written a few pieces here about the general inclination of scientologists to vote Republican. Hubbard's disdain for government and welfare are important reasons why scientologists tend not to be liberal/Democrats. But the biggest reason has to do with psychiatry. In this, scientologists are single-issue voters and virtually every one of them would never vote for a Democratic administration. Scientology's oldest and most dedicated "social reform" group, Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) has recently made clear to all scientologists that the current President and his … [Read more...]
Aaron Smith-Levin on Lex Fridman
This is a very well informed and extremely informative interview by Lex Fridman on one of the biggest YouTube/Podcasts in the world. Lex Fridman is very well prepared and thoughtful, no matter who you are, there are things covered here you have probably not heard before. Lex provides an outline of the episode which takes you right to each section : 0:00 - Introduction 1:21 - Thetans 5:19 - Dianetics 17:22 - God 27:58 - Sea Org 32:08 - Auditing 52:21 - Control 1:02:45 - David Miscavige 1:11:52 - Xenu 1:27:46 - Secrecy 1:33:49 - Mike Rinder … [Read more...]
Planetary Clearing?
Scientology loves to tell itself it is "Clearing the Planet" and "Making Planetary Clearing a Reality." Yet, the reality is something completely different. The cognitive dissonance within the scientology bubble sometimes seems just too incredible to be believable. In any and every org, they know they are not making any Clears. But this is not something they ever discuss or announce -- "We have made x Clears this year." Because in most orgs it is 0. Every now and then, actual NUMBERS slip out of the bubble. The last time was in November when I included a story on the blog … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies
Her dad convinced her.... The monumental COB briefing... About Africa? In Australia? You think he knows what this even means? Wow -- a basic course completion! That's worth promoting... Dream Team? A Free Seminar in Chicago! This is new news? Like it needs an exclamation point... Looking REALLY excited Just wait to see her expression when she gets her first pay check. Another one brimming with enthusiasm! Why not join the "ideal org" in Nashville? At least its … [Read more...]
How Scientologists Deal With “Entheta”
"Entheta" is a term in scientology which is a contraction of "enturbulated theta" -- enturbulated means upset and theta means life force. In simple english, entheta is bad news. It is not something that is untrue, just something you don't want to hear. Anything that will cause upset (or in the case of scientology itself, doubt about it). Hubbard says that entheta is the work of "chaos merchants" (suppressive persons), and when the entheta concerns scientology, it is an attempt to "destroy mankind's only hope" and is entirely lies. His "logic" is that scientology is only good, so anyone … [Read more...]
