Perth Ideal Org Fail

May 9, 2021 By Mike Rinder 26 Comments

We have a few items that have come in from Perth ideal org. The first is the announcement that they are "celebrating" 3 years of being "ideal." I wonder what there is to celebrate? They have made 0 progress in clearing their neighborhood, let alone city or state. And remember, this was the org that claimed they were going to be responsible for Clearing Indonesia too --as there is no org at all there. Don't hear much about that these days. And then the next piece is very telling. Remember how Hubbard announced that "Going St Hill Size" was something that could be done in a matter of … [Read more...]

Ideal Org “Good News”

March 18, 2021 By Mike Rinder 46 Comments

This is a collection of standard issue, cookie-cutter scientology mirages, misrepresentations and lies. If you see a promo piece from a scientology org, "ideal" or otherwise, you know you will be witnessing some bs. Let's start at the top. This is their collection of "Good News" -- the best news they can come up with in this ideal org. And that consists of a single "success story" from someone who is already a Class V auditor and has already read "all the basics" upon completion of the Technique 88 lecture series. For those unfamiliar, the Technique 88 lectures … [Read more...]

Still Not St Hill Size — And Never Will Be

January 30, 2021 By Mike Rinder 43 Comments

Sydney "ideal" org has gotten quite a lot of airtime on this blog as they send out promotional items that are routinely forwarded to me. Also because Australian -- and Sydney happens to be my favorite city in the world (close second, London). They, like all the other "ideal" orgs are evidence of the complete failure of this "bright idea" program in every respect other than swelling the coffers of scientology. For those of you who have not been around scientology for the last 25 years, let me explain how this "ideal org" program got started. It was a confluence of (un)fortunate … [Read more...]

More on OT IX and X

August 21, 2019 By Mike Rinder 121 Comments

Follow up to post a few days ago OT IX & X: Promises, Promises, Promises where I covered the announcement from Captain Miscavige in 1995 of the requirements for the "release" of the non-existent OT IX and X. That prompted a reader to send me this letter from 1993 where he had earlier laid out the prerequisites for OT IX. Class VI or Class V Grad FPRD Auditor Training Course Hubbard Senior Security Checker Course PTS/SP Auditor Course Happiness Rundown Auditor Course PDH Detection and Handling Course That sounded good at the time. No public person had done all … [Read more...]

The “Elite” Team Fail

June 25, 2019 By Mike Rinder 86 Comments

One of the first "ideal orgs" was San Francisco. Dear Leader yanked its ribbon way back in November 2003. That is nearly 16 years ago now... They're still at it -- trying to get themselves to St Hill Size -- calling themselves an "elite" team. As if this makes them so.   It was the same tune two years ago -- though they were a little more overt: Of course, they may STILL be the "next" org to make it to St Hill Size, because there hasn't been one in the intervening 2 years... But then, we remember this. From 2006 -- the SFO Org magazine "Gateway": And … [Read more...]

An “Ideal” and “St Hill Size” Org Struts Its Stuff

June 19, 2019 By Mike Rinder 69 Comments

Presented personally by Mr. David Miscavige with both "Ideal Org'" AND "St Hill Size" status, Joburg org epitomizes the pinnacle of scientology organizations on earth (not counting the artificially inflated Tampa Org that is home to the many Flag rejects and people trying to avoid Flag registrars). And here we see what they are so proud of:  2 Clears in one week and one person “flying through his training” — apparently they didn’t have a single course completion to announce in the same week as the 2 Clears. This is the best. of the best. And compared to other scientology orgs, it is.  … [Read more...]

How Big is “St Hill Size”

April 17, 2019 By Mike Rinder 50 Comments

There is a lot of mention of "St Hill Size" in scientology. It is one of the great catchphrases that motivates the sheeple "We are going St Hill Size," heard almost as often as "We are Clearing the planet" (but not as often as "will that be cash or check?"). But what exactly does St Hill Size mean and why is it important? St Hill is the name of the estate in Sussex, England that L. Ron Hubbard bought in 1959 and converted into the international headquarters of scientology. There were "difficulties" in the US and he decided the UK was a safer operating climate.  That lasted for a few … [Read more...]

Recruiting Up A Storm

December 10, 2018 By Mike Rinder 51 Comments

The "Ideal Org" in Melbourne (where you can "have it all" -- guitars, Mercedes', kids etc) seems to be having some difficulty locating a few good men. They are advertising on a site called "SeekVolunteer" to try to fill various staff positions. Some of them are quite amusing. But certainly these "volunteers" are not going to be able to "have it all" like the ads promote... You see the Largest Private Relief Force on earth is advertising for volunteers to come help "dispense indiscriminate help"? How strange is that? And offering "free" trips to Japan, Nepal, Taiwan etc. (they … [Read more...]

Watch #TheDeepEnd on Hulu. Fascinating 4 part doc study of cult leader @_tealswan by Jon Kasbe and @BitsSola. Also listen to interview by @sarahjedmondson and @nippyames on @alittlebitculty podcast. Cult leaders are all cut from the same cloth. My take: https://www.mikerindersblog.org/off-the-deep-end/

Because everyone is currently in love with Tom cruise again due to maverick and have conveniently forgotten he’s a weird little carnival barker for a dangerous cult, here’s your reminder to check out #ScientologyTheAftermath on Netflix!
