Scientology in Panic Mode

August 31, 2022 By Mike Rinder 72 Comments

My book will be available in less than a month (you can pre-order it here as a hardback or audiobook) and this is obviously causing waves inside the bubble. They are scrambling to try to "do something effective" in response to the rants from Miscavige about how this book is coming and "nobody is defending him." You can always tell what has impact in the bubble by what consumes the OSA bots in their online activities. They mostly concentrate on Leah, but over the last week have ramped up their squawks focused on me. And most of them feature my family members -- brother, children and … [Read more...]

Pat & Andrew Rinder

July 19, 2022 By Mike Rinder 24 Comments

This was sent to me recently. It saddens me to be reminded of just how deeply in the mind-prison my brother and sister-in-law are. Of course, like me, my brother was raised in scientology, and despite not being in the Sea Org, scientology is all he has ever known. They are totally dedicated to the lie that scientology is saving mankind. And even worse, that "ideal orgs" are what is achieving this. They have given a ton of money to the "ideal org" campaign, and even worse, persuade others to do so. All the while they are in the Melbourne ideal org all the time, and their son is the C/S … [Read more...]

Episode 5: The History of Fair Game

August 25, 2020 By Mike Rinder 40 Comments

In this week's episode, Leah and I discuss the history of Fair Game and the ongoing Fair Game efforts against us. As always, I include a link here to my "summary of Fair Game" entitled: Dealing with Critics of Scientology - The L. Ron Hubbard Playbook. If you have not read this before and have an interest in this subject, I recommend starting with this. Honestly, this is one of the most important episodes of this podcast. It is not disclosing "new' information, but even seasoned scientology watchers and former scientologists will learn things they likely did not know. Few have … [Read more...]

An Open Letter to My Family first published on 25 May 2010

March 7, 2020 By Mike Rinder 22 Comments

See my announcement on Friday -- I am revisiting earlier posts during my vacation. Each day there will be a different one. While I might write this a bit differently today it still overall delivers the same message... Dear Andrew, Taryn & Cathy, You made a big issue out of my failure to respond to your letters, so I am responding herewith to the letters each of you sent. I note that Jude sent me a letter when I was living in Denver – but didn’t send another in the second round after I moved near where she lives, and Benjamin didn’t send me a letter at all. I guess the Church is … [Read more...]

The Ever Evolving Smear Campaign on Me

February 5, 2020 By Mike Rinder 108 Comments

The latest from my daughter Taryn Teutsch...   Much of the same old stuff, but here is a new addition. The rendition of this story has evolved over the years, despite the fact the clear evidence contained in the Pinellas County Sheriff and EMT reports has not changed. It began with claims that I "attacked" my ex-wife (when she and 6 others and 2 PI's) had followed me and approached me screaming obscenities, all the way to "permanent neuorological damage" to "I could hear the bones breaking" and now "gouged flesh pouring with blood". None of these things are reflected in the … [Read more...]

Scientology’s Latest Lie About Me

January 18, 2020 By Mike Rinder 68 Comments

While there have been many, many lies propagated by scientology about me, it still surprises me sometimes when they offer up new ones. This appeared a few days ago on my daughter's blog (though she is just the name and face that is used -- this garbage is written by the same people that churn out the drivel that appears on the STAND League and Freedom smear sites). The idea that I committed some grievous bodily harm on my ex-wife when she and 6 others stalked and accosted me in a doctors parking lot in 2010 has been thoroughly debunked on this blog (see Mike Rinder: "Lady Killer") … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies

May 23, 2019 By Mike Rinder 73 Comments

It's an "ideal island"... Like they now have an "ideal Florida" with 3, yes, 3 ideal orgs in a state with more than 20 million residents. Just think, they will have ONE org for an island with a population of 3.6  million. Actually, that should really be ideal -- 99.9% of the population will never come in contact with scientology. The other 360 people will be the unlucky ones. But in fact there are dozens of even more ideal islands (nations) in the Caribbean that are entirely scientology free zones (except when the Freewinds is in port). Odd how the “OT … [Read more...]

The “Mike Rinder Problem”

January 5, 2019 By Mike Rinder 158 Comments

Scientology has come up with a new attack line -- the "Mike Rinder Problem." It is quite an honor to be singled out so specifically, especially as I am according to them merely a "bobblehead" (though a "wife-beating" one so that is apparently a bigger deal). They shifted their attacks from Nancy Dubuc to Paul Buccieri in a deft strategic move. Their clever PR maneuvers are a sight to behold. According to scientology, the "Mike Rinder Problem" is this: "Like the classic wife beater that he is, Rinder digs in his heels and refuses to admit he injured his former wife Cathy during an … [Read more...]

Recruiting Up A Storm

December 10, 2018 By Mike Rinder 51 Comments

The "Ideal Org" in Melbourne (where you can "have it all" -- guitars, Mercedes', kids etc) seems to be having some difficulty locating a few good men. They are advertising on a site called "SeekVolunteer" to try to fill various staff positions. Some of them are quite amusing. But certainly these "volunteers" are not going to be able to "have it all" like the ads promote... You see the Largest Private Relief Force on earth is advertising for volunteers to come help "dispense indiscriminate help"? How strange is that? And offering "free" trips to Japan, Nepal, Taiwan etc. (they … [Read more...]

Mike Rinder: “Lady Killer”

March 14, 2015 By Mike Rinder 157 Comments

While the "church" of scientology has kindly nicknamed me "Lady Killer," the strange reason for this deserves some context. This post also serves to demonstrate the twisted and false nature of the statements, videos, tweets, ads and emails that scientology is sending out to try and "dead agent" everyone involved in the Going Clear film. I am no special case -- all participants are getting the same treatment. I happen to have details and specifics concerning the things they say about me.  You can be certain the statements about the others are no less false. It is of course interesting that … [Read more...]
