“Successes”

September 8, 2015 By Mike Rinder 172 Comments

One of the craziest things about scientology is the use of "success stories." These things are a strange mixture of self-affirmation, peer pressure and fear. People write them to accomplish one or all of the following at the completion of a scientology service: a. To ensure they are allowed to complete and be presented with a certificate, they write what they think they are supposed to say b. To affirm for themselves that they have in fact gotten something for the time and money they have invested c. To gain recognition from others for their "wins." In truth, nobody should need … [Read more...]

Money, Power, Servitude

August 16, 2014 By Mike Rinder 105 Comments

This new book is a must read for anyone interested in scientology and what goes on inside the church. Peter Bonyai recounts his experiences from the day he first walked into a mission in Pecs, Hungary through his life in the Sea Org and ultimately to his departure 10 years later. I helped Peter by editing the english translation (he wrote it in his native tongue and translated it himself). I found the book fascinating and compelling. Peter has a wonderful sense of humor and an amazing ability to analyze both the insanity of what he experienced and his internal responses and thoughts, … [Read more...]

Freewinds Desperate For Anyone To Show Up

April 28, 2014 By Mike Rinder 54 Comments

Seems the massive international boom being generated by the Golden Age of Tech, the Basics, the Golden Age of OT, the Golden Age of Knowledge, the Div 6 phase, Ideal Orgs, Golden Age of Tech II, the power of the IAS, Super Power, Cause Resurgence Rundown, Ideal SO Orgs, Ideal Pacifica Bridge, the International Dissemination Center, the International Media Center, the largest relief force on earth, 10+ million Scientologists and 11,000 Scientology orgs and missions are not resulting in anyone showing up at the Freewinds. With all this expansion happening, there should be a steady flow of … [Read more...]

We Never Deliver What We Promise

January 2, 2014 By Mike Rinder 125 Comments

Here is a new twist. You are in the middle of a service (one of Miscavige's certified "On Source" checksheets that came with the "Golden Age of Tech") and He reverts it back to an earlier version ("just how LRH intended it"), raises the price and then expects you to pay for the "upgrade". Mid-service. Wow. Wonder if they ever thought of recrediting people for all the extra auditing they had to get in the "old" GAT Bridge before the release of the new, streamlined, extra on-Sourcy "upgraded" GAT II Bridge? You know, the "pilot" that was being delivered at Flag for 9 years while the Class V … [Read more...]

Bubble Bath

December 28, 2013 By Mike Rinder 108 Comments

Sent in by one of our Special Correspondents who monitors the Scientology Facebook groups. I am at a bit of a loss for words over some of this stuff. But it does give some interesting insight into life inside the bubble that is fundamentalist Scientology. 1) How pathetic. And how many people do you think are in this boat?  And its not even seen to be something odd.  Either that one of the most powerful beings in the universe cannot afford an emeter, or that an emeter is priced out of reach.  The poor fools who have been on Solo NOTs for years, spending all their disposable income … [Read more...]

Why Now Is The Time To Act

December 16, 2013 By Mike Rinder 153 Comments

One of our Special Correspondents sent this in and I felt it worthy of a post:   This article is being written specifically for those of you who are still "in" Scientology, still actively "on lines" or around in the orgs (although, of course, I want everyone to read it).   I know there are many of you "still ins" who read this blog, probably many more than any of you actually realize. I have been exactly where you are right now. And I wanted to share some things that helped me get to a much better place across all my dynamics.   There come points in everyone's life where they are … [Read more...]

Sharron Webber Murders The English Language

December 11, 2013 By Mike Rinder 154 Comments

Ignore for a moment the hype and bs about OT IX and X. This is just an embarrassing assassination of english. I have not changed a word from what I received.   I am sure you have seen the release of Golden Age of Tech II by Chairman of the Board RTC and I'm just as sure that you would agree the Bridge has just been given exactly as LRH intended and it is our responsibility to get everyone started as well as get started ourselves. Can you imagine anyone with disagreements to get going on their Golden Age of Tech II line-up. You must realize OT IX and X is next on the horizon and it … [Read more...]

“After GAG II” Supersedes “After Dianetics”

November 30, 2013 By Mike Rinder 86 Comments

A Special Correspondent sent this in -- it was posted on the Razzline. It clearly is written by a Master Evaluator who thinks for himself and observes what is in front of him.... What a genius:   I've read and heard comments and descriptions that many others have said about GAT II and the new Flag Building. Many superlatives have been used. Having attended the events at Flag, nothing I've read or heard is an exaggeration or overstatement.  GAT II and the new Flag Building are simply spectacular!! Having been in Scientology for 45 years, I have a perspective that may see … [Read more...]

A=A=A = Corporate Scientology

November 1, 2013 By Mike Rinder 89 Comments

I assume "If you want to be OT, do the Basics"  is a Miscavige Quote (R) they are using for the headline of their Success Stories these days?  I guess He has a right to do that as he invented the term "The Basics." Though I suspect most readers will assume it is an LRH quote. I wonder when the PDC became part of "The Basics"? And when they started dressing people up as witches for their success stories? This was sent to me by someone and I believe them it is real. But you have to wonder if this isn't someone making fun of them. And if this guy is so good at curing his physical ailments … [Read more...]

Expansion Beyond Anything You Could Ever Imagine…

October 10, 2013 By Mike Rinder 101 Comments

There are a few of these "briefings" that say nothing at all from the ED's who have returned from Flag. Clearly things are NOT going according to the Master's masterplan.  These ED's including those all the way from South Africa, flew to Flag, spent 8 DAYS being briefed (most of which was sitting around doing busy work waiting for Miscavige to free up an hour from reading the internet to pay them any attention) and then when they could not hang around any longer, He sent them home with some brilliant orders to get everyone enthused and "through the Basics."  Meanwhile their tech staff … [Read more...]
