Tony Ortega provided a pretty good summary of what happened at Sunday's Harlem org ribbon yanking at his blog. My thoughts focus on what was NOT there. Nobody Important Showed Up The B team speakers were notable for being nobodies. Back in the day, Charlie Rangel and other prominent people spoke at the NY Org ideal ribbon yanking. Why wasn't Charlie Rangel at the Harlem church? It would have been more appropriate for him as a champion of the African American community of NY. The people they DID manage to persuade to speak were unknows with the exception of a NY State Assemblyman who so … [Read more...]
Seriously? A 10 Year Old Purif Completion…
This was sent to me by a Special Correspondent. OMG. What is a mother doing putting a 10 year old through this program? Paying good money to have her engage in something that is at best completely useless and at worst physically harmful (See my earlier post Danger of Niacin). Apparently this woman understands how stressful and physically debilitating the Purification program can be as in her proud "announcement" of the fact that her daughter didn't even complain about 5000mg of naicin and handfuls of vitamins she had to swallow daily. I guess this is another example of someone saved … [Read more...]
Some Truth About The Size of Scientology
You have all heard scientology spout repeatedly that Valley is the biggest and most important Class 5 org in the world. Of course, this is idiocy, they cannot gather together 50 people for an event and have less than a handful on services at any given time (though this DOES put them ahead of most orgs in the world). What is probably true is that this org has the largest number of scientologists in its field - and the largest empty white elephant building in terms of square feet (and of course in scientology, square feet of empty space is the ultimate measure of accomplishment). There are … [Read more...]

Harlem Ribbon Yanking First announcements - no date and time... You had to call to find out. Wouldn't want to actually TELL anyone where to be. What if some SP's were to show up? No, best to keep the date and time a secret. Come one, come all. Please. Cambridge in Canada being told to attend? What, they can't even muster 2500 scientologists in New York? With a CLO, two "ideal orgs," a "Celebrity Center" and another org on Long Island? They have to recruit people from out of the country? We do mean EVERYONE from ANYWHERE... ...and now we will actually tell you … [Read more...]
The Horrors Of Wordclearing
Another in the series of essays from Terra Cognita. See earlier posts: Why Scientologists Don't FSM, Respect, The Survival Rundown - The Latest Scam, Communication in Scientology... Or Not, Am I Still A Thetan?, To Be Or Not To Be, An Evaluation of Scientology, Fear: That Which Drives Scientology and Justification and Rationalization. The Horrors of Word Clearing Word clearing—defining words—is big in Scientology. Really, really big. LRH emphasized word clearing repeatedly. One small misunderstood word—commonly abbreviated as “MU”—could have disastrous results. Every word in an auditin … [Read more...]
Mind Control Made Easy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJfm71I0OyU&feature=youtu.be Someone sent me a link to this video. It's production values and the quality of the video itself are poor, but the information it contains is pretty interesting. It isn't long and there are no big words (which I appreciate). I am sure anyone who has experience with scientology will find many parallels here. … [Read more...]
Maiden Voyage Event 4
Here is the final report on the "week of events" to celebrate Maiden Voyage 2016. Miscavige was feeling overworked for the week, having to deliver that opening night address and then the IAS pitch-a-thon, so he dished this one off to a bunch of nobodies. Anyone these days apparently qualifies as "International Church executives" - the headliner for this event was the CO PAC? Wow.... There is some fascinating information here. "More than 500 scientologists have formed new groups in Los Angeles" - funny, not a single one of these "new groups" has ever been shown (or even seen by … [Read more...]
Maiden Voyage Event 3
The third event of the 2016 Maiden Voyage week of extravaganza seems to have lived up to all that has gone before when it comes to IAS briefings. Ridiculous hype about events in far off places that should strain even the most ardent sheeple's credulity. Announced victories over destroyed enemies -- the same "victories" over psychiatry that have been announced year after year. According to the impeccable news source Int Scn News/David Miscavige, by this time psychiatry should have long since ceased to exist, but in the real world they seem to be doing just fine with new buildings that act … [Read more...]
Maiden Voyage Event 2
Next in the series of 2016 MV Event coverage. Really there is nothing worth saying about this. Somehow they keep coming up with new "accomplishments" for L. Ron Hubbard. Now he created the "space race" to distract from the nuclear arms race (except it didn't). Wonder when they are going to cover the biography section "Ron's family life and accomplishments" - they could do a nice Ron Mag on that subject. Not of course covering what he told everyone else to do, but detailing HIS family life. There is a lot of fascinating material to cover. … [Read more...]

Maiden Voyage Event 1
This is the second posting in the coverage of this year's Maiden Voyage. Yesterday's post is here. Things got off to a bang at "Opening Night" - traditionally consisting of the "Rolling Thunder" presentation, some hype about the number of inches of sea traversed by the Moneywinds and joking and degrading at the expense of the "OT Ambassadors." Dear Leader set the stage with a huge, bald-faced lie -- "in full"(?) "just since last year, the number of scientologists advancing up the bridge has multiplied ten times over." This is just pulled out of his ass. Much like the 46X before … [Read more...]
Maiden Voyage Overview
The 2016 edition of the International Scientology News Maiden Voyage edition has hit the mailboxes of thousands of disinterested recipients. I will do a series of posts covering the events of each night, starting with this overview of the ISN and the Maiden Voyage itself. In a word, the whole thing was underwhelming. Monumental, epic underwhelm. The MV (and thus the magazine) was mostly rehash. As always, the ISN is printed on oversize high-gloss (expensive) paper with what has become the norm, a DVD attached to the back page. This is EXPENSIVE "promo" that is really just hype to try … [Read more...]
