Thursday Funnies
Alfraudie is back! Seems like his scandals with the WLC are old enough that he can be associated with again. And Stacy Francis too... Where did they find her? Heavy rains washed away the topsoil and she appeared? This is a "beautiful briefing" All about how they need your money Another one ripped from a different org... Just a BBQ? No regging? Hahahaha Bodhi Elfman in the house... In freefall apparently? Apparently they just think of words that sound cool: "No Limits" is meaningless unless they are … [Read more...]
A New Review of A Billion Years
Justin Clark, a public historian and writer based in the Midwest, reached out to let me know he had read my book and written a review for the Truth Seeker, one of the oldest publications dedicated to humanism and freethought. He also published it on his blog I am including it here as it is one of the most complete, yet concise summaries of my book. Justin does a remarkable job of covering so much in what is a fairly lengthy review -- but given how much it covers, it's quite a feat to have kept it a manageable length. He also did a podcast talking about the book and The Aftermath … [Read more...]
Mad Mappin Hits the Interwebs
Scientology's version of Monty Pythons Upper Class Twit is at it again (I always love it any time I can slip in a Monty Python reference) -- if you don't know this skit, I have included it at the end of this post. I have written about Mad Mappin before (the most recent here: Mad Mappin At It Again). Now he has called on a local member of the British parliament to do something about the "genocide" of the COVID vaccines. (Wonder if he has sent something to David Miscavige demanding an explanation as to why all Sea Org and staff were required to get the "Covid injections"?). Putting an … [Read more...]
The David Miscavige Film Festival
Oh, what could be more fun than a David Miscavige Film Festival? Sitting for hours (punctuated by the obligatory standing ovations to prevent dozing off) watching Mr. Mickiewicz spout Shermanspeak proclaiming the great accomplishments of scientology taking over the world. I can imagine those who show up (perhaps because they are doing lower conditions?) feel this vibe: Back in the "good old days" of scientology this would have been "L. Ron Hubbard tape plays" or perhaps showings of the Hitchman Interview and Clearing Congress Films. These are the only visual presentations … [Read more...]
Another Empty Ideal Org
An interesting piece in the Minnesota Daily Another inside view of an "ideal" org -- empty like all the rest. A few highlights. The almost obligatory mention of Shelly and now the fact Dave is in hiding: Shelly hasn’t been seen publicly since 2007, and any comment on her whereabouts from the church seems vague to say the least. David, on the other hand, has disappeared more recently in wake of a civil child trafficking suit. The results of his OCA were, surprise, surprise "unacceptable": My OCA results considered me to be in a largely unacceptable state, only activity being deemed … [Read more...]
Chicago Ideal Org Grand Opening on Feb 11?
We have seen in the Thursday Funnies a lot of mentions of Chicago's "Don't Miss" event on 11 February. Someone just sent me this video, obviously produced by SuMP. Methinks this is an awful lot of effort for a "local" event. Add to that the fact that they are not announcing WHERE this event is going to be held... "Venue TBD" These things would indicate Mr. Mickiewicz is planning on yanking his ribbon in Chicago on Feb 11. They are promoting it like crazy, but cannot say it is "the Grand Opening" because he doesn't want the outside world to know. Like the New Year's Event … [Read more...]

More Scientology Desperate “PR”
The desperation is oozing out of the bubble as scientology becomes more frantic trying to salvage their dismal PR in the eyes of the world. Because they don't actually DO anything good that is newsworthy, they resort to sending out paid press releases to try to get some coverage. Within the bubble, they blame the lack of media coverage on the "Chaos Merchants" run by SPs -- of course they are not going to cover the good works of scientology! They are blind to two obvious contradictions -- you can find plenty of stories by those same chaos merchants about the Red Cross or Salvation Army or … [Read more...]
The Scientology Celebrity Centre “Network” is Rapidly Disappearing
Aaron Smith-Levin did a video about the recent closure of the "Celebrity Centre Munich" and the abandoned St. Pete "Life Improvement Center" opened by the Tampa "Ideal Org." As every good scientologist knows, it is a High Crime in scientology to close or combine orgs. Since David Miscavige has taken over scientology, there have been many other closures and "combinings" -- including St Hill Foundation, specifically started by Ron himself with a lot of policy written by him about why "Foundation" (night and weekend) orgs were needed. Because Aaron … [Read more...]
Tony Mo is Back!
Haven't seen mention of the notorious Tony Mo -- Tony Muhammad (he now goes by Abdul Malik Sayyid Muhammad) -- for some time. He suddenly re-appears at an event hawking "Super Power"... For those unfamiliar, Tony is a big cheese in the Nation of Islam and was the original grifter who came into the scientology world through one of scientology's great scamsters, the Reverend Alfreddie Johnson. Alfraudie helped introduce the NOI to the world of scientology, a marriage made in hell. Tony was awarded the prestigious and coveted (at least inside the bubble) IAS Freedom Medal... I have … [Read more...]
The Flat Tax — Republicans Reviving the Scientology Campaign to Abolish the IRS
It's in the news that the Republicans in Congress are seeking to implement a flat sales tax and essentially do away with the need for the IRS. Just one recent article can be found here. This story includes the following paragraph: One thing that became clear very quickly: McCarthy’s desperation to have the title of House speaker meant more to him than having any convictions. An example of his clear powerlessness in whatever deals he agreed to were reports that he would bring a ludicrous tax proposal for a vote on the House floor. It’s the Fair Tax Act, a deal first … [Read more...]
Mr. Mickiewicz
I asked on our Three Amigos livestream last Monday for a shoop of Mr. M with a Mickey Mouse ears hat. If you haven't tuned in yet, Aaron Smith-Levin, Marc Headley and I do a live show on Monday's at 7pm starting on Aaron's "Growing Up in Scientology" YouTube channel and then moving over to Marc's "Blown For Good" channel where we riff on whatever topic has our interest and also answer viewer questions they send in live. Unfortunately, we will not be doing one this Monday as we are celebrating Christie's birthday, might do it on Tuesday... stay tuned for announ Here are some of the … [Read more...]
