I have not had much time to dissect and comment on the order from Judge Barber in the Baxter/Paris case, sending them to scientology "arbitration," so this is a bit stale. I was prompted to do this now by the request from the p[plaintiff's lawyers to certify Judge Barber's ruling for appeal to the 11th Circuit. The quirks of the system do not allow an appeal from his order -- as it has not technically ended the case. It is now "stayed" pending the so-called arbitration. The second motto of scientology after Always Be Closing (from the wonderful movie Glengarry Glen Ross -- the clip is at the end of the post below) is Always Be Infiltrating. Of course, money comes first in scientology. But a close second is "PR area control" -- infiltrating legitimate organizations to gain undeserved credibility for themselves. The money grubbing never ends. They've got tens of thousands of WTH booklets sitting in a garage. But they don't have money to mail them out. They quote the words of Hubbard -- but clearly scientology does not believe these words. They are apparently just “inches away” from actually opening this building -- that has been sitting idle, fully renovated for a year or more now. Please watch the YouTube video I did on this subject with Marc Headley this evening. The fact that the Simon Wiesenthal center lauds Tom Cruise by having him be a co-chair of their "National Tribute Dinner" is puzzling if not disturbing.
