With the recent outbreak of measles on the Scientology ship, Freewinds, Leah and I thought it important to highlight some points that are the real story about this ship. With the exception of Newsweek, generally the media is missing the boat. Their focus is on a case of measles rather than the bigger picture of the Freewinds. To directly answer the least important question: Do Scientologists believe in vaccinating? Most Scientologists have little faith in “Wog” (non-scientology) medical care. L. Ron Hubbard believed medical doctors wanted to maintain their monopoly on "heal … [Read more...]
L12 Scientology Hype
Here is some extra special hype about the "Flag Only L Rundowns." Hubbard made a LOT of money selling these things, promising "stable exteriorization" -- though not a single person EVER has accomplished this "end phenomena." Not one. Not ever. And what is amazing -- everyone KNOWS this and carries on with the charade. The next person who finishes L12 will come up produce a "glowing" success story about how astonishing this “tech” is and pretend stable exteriorization is something that HAS been accomplished! Their future promotional pieces will continue to make the same false clai … [Read more...]
The Police and Scientology
I tweeted about this on Saturday, addressed to the Commander of the N. Hollywood Division of the LAPD for sucking up to scientology. He is not the first. The convicted criminal former LA County Sheriff Lee Baca was a big scientology supporter -- appearing at numerous scientology events and even riding on the scientology float in the Hollywood Christmas parade. Cory Palka and others from Hollywood PD have been buddies with Celebrity Centre over the years, the Hollywood PD even had a kiosk installed in their Police Station to promote scientology front groups. What these … [Read more...]
A Scientologist Conspiracy Theory
It would not be correct to claim that ALL scientologists are conspiracy theorists. But I would hazard there are more of these types per capita in scientology than in the normal population. Here is a recent example, and then I will explain why I believe this to be true. This is the content of his link: Generally, scientologists tend to think the way they have been taught to think in the words of L. Ron Hubbard. They take his lead on EVERYTHING in their life. Hubbard saw a concerted "conspiracy" against him (and thus "against mankind" because he is the only one with the technology to … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
Realized? They must have a VERY different definition. Perhaps they have finally "realized" that they are NEVER going to make any inroads into anything.... This seems appropriate for once... And A mentalist and illusionist. Will fit right in with the delusionists.... After 40 years... He FINALLY learned how to study. I guess this "tech" wasn't so great. It couldn't help this guy for all those years. Amazing what these enforced “success” stories reveal. Oh Wow 3 Clears in 2 weeks That is their quota for the year done... Even if … [Read more...]
The Doctrine of the SP
Another thought-provoking essay from our old friend Brian Lambert THE DOCTRINE OF THE SP: A MAJOR MILESTONE ON THE WAY TO MENTAL DERANGEMENT AND DESTROYED RELATIONSHIPS It seems every time I write an essay I think “wow, this one is a big deal.” My sentiment speaks to the many mind distorting doctrines that have had devastating effects on all of us. Each deranged doctrine is singularly significant in the deprogramming process. I am not affected by scientology any more I know an ex-Scientologist who feels there are no left over subconscious effects in their minds. Th … [Read more...]
How Big is “St Hill Size”
There is a lot of mention of "St Hill Size" in scientology. It is one of the great catchphrases that motivates the sheeple "We are going St Hill Size," heard almost as often as "We are Clearing the planet" (but not as often as "will that be cash or check?"). But what exactly does St Hill Size mean and why is it important? St Hill is the name of the estate in Sussex, England that L. Ron Hubbard bought in 1959 and converted into the international headquarters of scientology. There were "difficulties" in the US and he decided the UK was a safer operating climate. That lasted for a few … [Read more...]
What is a “Wog” in Scientology
Hubbard used the word "wog" to describe the world outside of scientology. Non-scientologists are all wogs. Thinking or acting in a way that is not in keeping with what scientologists believe is right is "woggy." Things seen to be irrational in the eyes of scientologists are deemed to be "wog-think." It is a derogatory, condescending and ugly term. Some scientologists have sought to defend its use, claiming "It's not racist". The term (a contraction of golliwog -- an old "blackface" child's doll) was something derogatory and racist. Here is the information from … [Read more...]
L. Ron Hubbard Redefines Ethics
Another thought-provoking essay from Brian Lambert. INTRODUCTION TO SCIENTOLOGY ETHICS: L. RON HUBBARD’S ROAD TO SUICIDE “We are not moralists” “I am not interested in wog morality” L. Ron Hubbard (Remember these quotes when reading the dictionary definitions of ethics below) It’s possible, through this essay, that dictionaries may be considered, by the Scientologist, a suppressive source of anti-religious bigotry. These definitions prove that Hubbard altered the meaning of the word ethics. Hubbard changed the “meaning and melodies” of the word ethics, and by so doing he distorted th … [Read more...]
More on “Confidential” Files in Scientology
No Thursday Funnies this week due to Tom Cruise the cruise. But someone sent this to me as a follow up to the earlier post I had done about the use of priest/penitent files: Scientology Violates Priest-Penitent Confidences -- When It Suits Them. What is so interesting about this issue is the lengths it goes to in order to ensure scientology can assert a privilege to withhold information being turned over in a legal or law enforcement action. This issue comes on the heels of the Christofferson trial and the subsequent jury award of $39 million. The Wollershiem case was coming … [Read more...]
