Another gem from the STAAD website. Things have really slowed down there. It seems without weekly airings of The Aftermath, their reason for existing has become muddled. They liked to pretend they were some altruistic exercise, but it was clear that was just a cover to be able to attack The Aftermath and its contributors. Nowadays their website is merely a collection of scientology talking points they use to try to convince the world they are "normal" and "like every other religion." But when they are not the subject of discussion, they seem to lose interest pretty quickly in fighting … [Read more...]
How Does It Feel to Be a Scientologist?
Before delving into this latest piece to be found on the STAAD fiction site, let me proffer a more honest answer to the question. How does it feel to be a scientologist? Superior -- after all nobody else has the "tech" of life, they are all ignorant, misinformed or both Certain -- we know the answer to everything, all that is needed is to "do what Ron says." Controlled -- though they would categorize this as "dedicated" or "on purpose". But bottom line, every scientologists does what is good for scientology. Period. John Logothetis expounds with the usual scientology "talking points" -- … [Read more...]
Scientology ALWAYS Comes First
Here is a perfect example of why scientologists cannot be trusted in positions where they are supposed to act in the public interest. Paris Morfopolous is the poster child of a fundamentalist scientologist. He has been a scientology business owner that has relied on scientologists' patronage in downtown Clearwater for decades. He is the head of Clearwater's Downtown Development Board. Tony Ortega's article describing Morfopolous' rant against Mark Bunker at the most recent DDB meeting tells the most recent story of his dedication to following the dictates of L. Ron Hubbard. With the … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
Freedom for all California... One more empty building and California will be free at last! Not a chance ANYONE actually buys this. But the rah-rah seems to impress. No we don't Not a one has EVER come back Nothing quite like "Big Blue" It's ugly, dirty and empty. The celebration may be memorable, but not for the right reasons. They're trying to sound fancy... If you have ever been to the "PAC Canteen" you will understand the crazy of them serving "lobster tail" Scientology Thanksgiving Not only are they NOT providing … [Read more...]
The Type That Rages Against Scientology
This is the sort of stuff scientology churns out to try to smear and discredit those who expose their abuses. The author, Rodger Clark, is a "STAND Blogger". I happened to notice this article on the Patheos site, and found it was simply a reprint of the blog article on the STAND site. The text and even the image on Patheos are identical to this propaganda from STAND. Here is the diatribe in all it's sordid glory. I have highlighted in red some of the most egregious stuff: While working in Florida as an installer many years ago, the boss assigned me … [Read more...]
The “Tech” of Marriage
The amazing hypocrisy of scientology is no better illustrated than with this promotional piece. Here is the "tech" of L. Ron Hubbard being sold as the way to attain happiness in life -- in this case success in marriage. This is a classic case of "Do as I say, not as I do..." L. Ron Hubbard was married 3 times -- each ended in disaster. He left his first wife (Polly) with his first 2 children (Katie and Ron Jnr) to pursue other "interests", including a relationship with the woman who would become his 2nd wife Sarah. He married Sarah bigamously. She bore him a daughter … [Read more...]
The Inhumanity of Scientology
Sadly, too many people pass away without the opportunity to say goodbye to their loved ones. Those who die in tragic accidents or without warning. Others in other cities or countries that make it logistically impossible for a final face-to-face meeting. Some are estranged for whatever reason and don’t reach out to them, even when they often regret it as they take their final breaths and it has become too late. Then there are those who have had their familial relationships sundered by their beliefs -- that it will be spiritually harmful to associate with “non-believers” or those who have bee … [Read more...]
The Pinnacle of Scientology Accomplishment
OT VIII is the end of scientology. The ultimate attainment of "spiritual freedom" and cause over Matter, Energy, Space and Time. This is what scientology proudly presents to the world to convince everyone to give them money to also experience what this individual has achieved... It starts with a description of this being "So simple”... And then claimed his/her success stories caused the supervisors to experience his/her universe explosions too... But “alas there is an EP”(?) and he/she knew it because he/she started to cry (?). All thanks to COB -- from one poet to another this is f … [Read more...]
Scientology for Never Ins
There is a new book available on Amazon by a regular reader of this blog and major supporter of the campaign to end the abuses of scientology. I asked Stefani for a short description. The book is just supposed to be a starting point for Never Ins who hear some of the strange words and phrases Scientology uses but aren’t clear on what they are. I also tried to use real examples and facts to show how, no matter what Scientology says, there is always proof they’re lying. Explaining Fair Game, I used what they’ve put you through to show the Policy is still alive and in force. I wanted to real … [Read more...]
Why I Choose Scientology
This is an article just published on Patheos -- which is described on Wikipedia as follows: Patheos is a non-denominational, non-partisan online media company providing information and commentary from various religious and nonreligious perspectives. Upon its launch in May 2009, the website was primarily geared toward learning about religions through a reference library and other peer-reviewed resources on 27 global religions and worldviews. In its current form, the site also hosts more than 450 blogs in eleven "Faith Channels," offering commentary and news from these perspectives in topics … [Read more...]
