I tweeted the other day that law enforcement needs to empanel Grand Juries to get the facts about scientology. More effective would be a raid to seize their files, but that is a much harder process especially when dealing with an organization that hides behind the cloak of religion. What is a Grand Jury and why would it be effective? A grand jury is a jury – a group of citizens – empowered by law to conduct legal proceedings and investigate potential criminal conduct, and determine whether criminal charges should be brought. A grand jury may subpoena physical evidence or a person to testi … [Read more...]
Volunteer Minister Vultures
Of course, with the tragic fires in northern and southern California, David Miscavige's self-proclaimed "largest independent relief force in the world" has sprung into immediate action... Fundraising. What else but a healthy dose of "disaster capitalism" to rake in some more dough as tens of thousands have been evacuated, countless have lost their homes and families have lost loved ones. I know the reg vultures like Jeff Pomerantz never give it a thought -- but do the people who give actual money to the IAS ever wonder how come the money they gave BEFORE isn't being used for … [Read more...]
The Largest Private Relief Force on Earth — Canada Edition
You know how much scientology loves to tout their amazing relief efforts and the power of their "tech" and the vast numbers of people they can launch at a moment's notice to do what nobody else can do in the face of disasters. Well, here are the 3 proud Canadian Continental VMs. Yes, 3 of them. Not really the largest private relief force in Canada one would suspect. And what are these 3 actually doing? Trying to convince other religions they should join forces with them... Now that's some serious disaster relief. Other than that they brought about "a reign of calm in the face of … [Read more...]
The Disappeared
Why is there no President of Church of Scientology International? Heber Jentzsch, after being "disappeared" years ago is now represented as being "retired" -- but there is no new President. In fact, there isn't even a spokesman, let alone a President (who is supposed to be the lead spokesperson). Heber, once a very public figure, is no longer seen outside of the razor wire topped fence of Golden Era Productions. I last saw him in late 2006 in the Hole. Sleeping on the floor and eating slop, guarded 24 hours a day. Who is the Executive Director International? Guillaume Lesevre held … [Read more...]
Flag Failing – 10,000 on Solo NOTs Hopeless
Oh dear. Things not looking for the 10,000 onto or through Solo NOTs target. They've been working on this target for nearly 30 years and are still not close. Apparently, even the chief cheerleader for achieving this target has given up. For years the D/Captain for Delivery Flag AO Mr. Clive Rabies has been doing "mandatory briefings" for "OT's only" to try to drum up enthusiasm for people getting onto OT VII. Now he has been reduced to doing personal org board "workshops" at the FH for $25 a head. I suspect the truth is that the number of people auditing on OT VII continues to … [Read more...]
Pot. Kettle. Black.
The STAAD League continues to froth and rant about the strangest things. While they try to maintain a pretense that they care about anything OTHER than scientology's right to abuse people without censure, they fail routinely. Here is their latest "cause" -- my reference to Michael Chan as Chan Man in the Thursday Funnies. Apparently a rhyming nickname calling him a "Man" is a "racial slur," "bigotry" and even "homophobic"(?) and I should not be employed by anyone associated with Disney (the parent company of A&E). I am happy to know that Michael reads the Thursday Funnies (well, … [Read more...]
Nation of Islam and Scientology — Getting Weirder
The bizarre relationship between scientology and the Nation of Islam is getting stranger by the day. It would seem that scientology is winning the competition of who's zooming who. NOI members are becoming scientologists, but no scientologists are joining the NOI... Here's another: This is Clear, Super Power Completion, Auditor & Power Field Staff Member Sister Nayyirah Tivica Muhammad. Here she is at Flag graduation... Will scientology ultimately consume the NOI? It is fascinating to watch this marriage made in hell as it unfolds. Miscavige … [Read more...]
Ebony Awakening
This should be fun. Alfraudie is being brought in from his IAS world Regging Tour -- hanging with his NOI buddies and only $500 a head? How exciting could a weekend be. Hard to top this. But don't forget to bring ALL your checkbooks and credit cards. There are a LOT of regges at Flag in addition to Alfraudie. Here is the full line up. The only scientologists they could get were 3 white businessmen. Two NOI people -- one doing Group Processing (that's NOT Dianetics...) and then a non-scientology Minister from LA who is involved in CCHR. I guess scientology … [Read more...]
Laura DeCrescenzo (Dieckman) Hammered Scientology
Some thoughts about the settlement of Laura's case. For the few Monday Morning Quarterbacks out there who think she should have gone through to trial -- please read this earlier post about Debbie Cook settling her case. Of course the circumstances are different, but the sentiment remains. Unless you have walked in the shoes of someone engaged in litigation with scientology, you should not dare be critical. I believe there are many more who have congratulated Laura for her persistence and are happy she was able to get to a successful outcome, especially in light of this: The newest … [Read more...]
Scientology Coming (Further) Unhinged
A recent article by Joe Nolfi for Entertainment Weekly elicited a pretty unhinged response from scientology. The article springboarded off Leah's appearance on Ron Miscavige's podcast Life After Scientology where she and Ron discussed the upcoming Season 3. Scientology's crazy response is a study in "never defend, always attack" mentality (see my earlier blog post for a lengthier discussion of this topic Dealing With Critics of Scientology): When reached for comment on Remini’s Life After Scientology comments, a representative for the church told EW: “Even a cursory review of this fringe … [Read more...]
