Scientology’s Lying Denials
Everyone who has watched The Aftermath knows that scientology invariably sends in rather bizarre denials to what is being exposed in every episode. The finale was no exception. In fact, scientology outdid themselves. We have made the point repeatedly, that while scientology squeals they are being vilified and lied about, they NEVER provide ANYONE to present their side of the story. I don't recall having mentioned the writings of L. Ron Hubbard concerning the coming apocalypse/destruction of society/end of civilization, and I don't think many others have either. But the good folks who churn out the promotion for Kansas City reminded me that this is part of the "scare" tactics Hubbard employed to motivate people to support his cause. I came across this the other day. It is a High Winds magazine from 1995. High Winds is the "magazine of the Sea Org" and only a few were ever published, usually to commemorate "Sea Org Day". Aftermath Announcement
In June we shot our series finale of The Aftermath, which will air in the next couple of weeks. A&E will announce the date soon. It will be our last show on A&E. When we began this journey, we did not anticipate more than a single season. But the response was so overwhelming and we felt strongly that the people who stepped forward deserved to be heard. Join scientology Staff: No Pay but we “Offer Total Freedom”
This poster has few words but says an awful lot. The "notice" at the bottom is clearly a legal disclaimer put there by lawyers to protect scientology. Scientology in Australia got into trouble with the government for not paying staff and providing inadequate health care and other benefits afforded all workers in Australia. They asserted that everyone on staff is a "volunteer" and pretty much got away with it.
