Scientology has a habit of trying to gain credibility by aligning themselves with legitimate organizations and causes, making it seem they are part of it. They are imposters, seeking to gain goodwill or some other advantage by preying on the good name of others. You might remember we earlier made mention of the Foothill Mission GoFundMe page (That's Some Ideal Mission) to raise money to replace their ceiling and thus become "ideal." It seems that might have created a problem. Publicly begging for money to replace your ceiling is not the hallmark of a flourishing and prospering mission. This is a report from the Flag local door-knocking campaign to "recover" all the people who have faded from view. Recognize that even these paltry figures are padded. Nobody reports "stats" in scientology without inflating them to make it seem like things are better. Looking for ex-Sea Org Victims
I have been speaking with people about the Sea Org’s practices and about a possible lawsuit against scientology alleging abuses of Sea Org members. I am particularly interested in anyone brought into the U.S. by the Church of Scientology on a visa, and then brought to a Sea Org base where they lived and worked for little or no pay. A recent article by Joe Nolfi for Entertainment Weekly elicited a pretty unhinged response from scientology. It is an endless source of amazement how scientologists buy the idea that every word Hubbard spoke or wrote is some sort of brilliant revelation. Much of it is gibberish, particularly his "research track." Many of the things he stated as absolute fact he later repudiated -- though he typically characterized it as "further research revealed..." It's always so good to see the results of the billion dollars the IAS has collected at work. They found a person who handed a WTH booklet to some kids in the neighborhood and they "stopped fighting." If ever there was a monumental accomplishment that explains "what your donations buy" it must be this one. And this is what they CHOOSE to promote? The best they've got. The ultimate.... It is highly likely that this person who gave the neighborhoods kids a copy of this booklet did NOT get the booklet from the IAS.
