The Upside Down World of Scientology
This is a microcosm of so many things inside the shrinking bubble world of scientology. Selling guy is trying to offload his “OT” bracelet (at a loss of course, anything scientology is ALWAYS overpriced) to get money to do the Purif. Probably REDO the Purif. After all he was "going OT" or was already OT back in 2012. But then of course, the first time he did the Purif it was "out tech." See the excellent piece at Tony Ortega’s blog this morning concerning L. Ron Hubbard’s stolen valor. I was sent a couple of promotional items from this year that have a different focus. Many will find this just as crass as the fake medals and war hero status of Ron the War Hero. This person has shown up on my Facebook page posting links to "articles" from the STAAD League. Pretty much the usual junk mail that I rarely even see, but I happened to notice this one. In their crazy efforts to convince people that scientology is "multidenominational" and "welcomes everyone" they have launched into outer space. Scientology's newest billboard in Clearwater is an obvious admission of something everyone knows -- but scientology almost never acknowledges -- their reputation is horrendous. This is clearly a reaction to The Aftermath tv series and the enormous volume of media coverage over the last few years.
