The "Cause Resurgence" Rundown is one of the greatest boondoggles scientology has ever foisted off as a "standard tech" "religious" service. The Running Program, as it was originally called, was used to punish crew at Golden Era who were, in the estimation of Miscavige, performing poorly. "Run around a pole until you get your shit together." The first person to do it was David Mayo, when he had been declared a terrible squirrel. Hubbard ordered him to run around a tree at Gold "until he wore a trench in the ground". He did so for weeks on end until he was physically spent. He escaped … [Read more...]
How Long Will They Try To Milk This?
They are still being "inspired" by their PR response to the pandemic? "Events are held daily".... meaning they put this on a video screen somewhere and if there is anyone who happens to be sitting around in the vicinity they count it as an "event." Everything scientology did to respond to COVID 19 was simply for photo and video ops -- and months after the fact they continue to try to beat the last whimpers out of this dead horse. It's only because they have nothing else to present as there is nothing happening in the world of scientology. The pandemic has proven there are only two things … [Read more...]
Germany on Scientology
i Germany has just released its annual "Constitution protection report" for 2020. The last section of the report concerns scientology. One of our readers helped us with a translation: "Scientology Organization" (SO) The "Scientology Organization" (SO) intends to establish a worldwide "Scientology Society". The number of members in Germany in 2020, as in 2019, was around 3,500 people. In the year under review, SO online activity increased again as the otherwise usual information stands in cities throughout Germany could not be operated due to the corona pandemic. The SO … [Read more...]
RAW Meat: It’s a Real Homor
More weirdness from inside the bubble. The language of scientology often reveals so much. "Raw books"? She means books sold to "raw" public. Hubbard called the "wogs" (non-scientologists), "raw meat." Not being educated in scientology qualifies them as "raw," like untouched, as in raw materials. And they are "meat" like "flesh" because they are not yet aware of being a thetan. It is a derisive term, though less so than "wog" -- but whether more or less derisive, the real point is what it reveals about how scientologists view the world. There are scientologists, and then there are … [Read more...]
The Crime of the Century
Alex Gibney has done it again. This is a disturbing, powerful documentary that everyone in the country should watch. It details how the opioid epidemic was manufactured out of the greed of the pharmaceutical industry (all the way down to CVS). It is truly a horrifying expose. But for scientology-watchers there is a special reason for giving this a look. It shows how those with money to burn are able to buy influence over law enforcement and legislators. It is grotesque, and it is exactly what scientology has done to head off investigations in the … [Read more...]
Study in Scientology
Recently, some have expressed the view that Leah is incorrect in stating that a minimum of 2.5 hours per day of study is mandated of you in scientology. There have been various people who have commented on this "this is not my experience" and "there is no Hubbard writing that states this." Most of this is missing the point: whether you agree with the mandated 2.5 hours statement, scientology places enormous demands on its membership, far more than mainstream religions. It is the only organization calling itself a religion where there are services that you are expected to show up for on an … [Read more...]
Let Children Think For Themselves
My wife wrote an article for her Buddha Belly Doula website. It is about the influence of scientology thinking on children -- something I can also relate to. It captures the thinking of scientologists about education and raising children perfectly. If Hubbard said it, it must be true. I thought it very appropriate for readers of this blog. You can read it here: Let Children Think For Themselves … [Read more...]
“I’m a Christian and I’m also a Scientologist”
This guy is running for elected office in Minnesota. He appears to be a legitimate, if unreal, candidate for Minnesota's 4th Congressional District. It's been a democratic district continuously since 1946, the current incumbent has been re-elected every 2 years since 2000. He is a Republican. This guy, like the now forgotten Joy Villa, is a Donald Trump superfan and conspiracy theory supporter on everything from fluoride to vaccinations. And like Joy Villa, he is trying to have his cake and eat it too. He wants to appeal to the Christian right who generally vote Republican, … [Read more...]
Big News: We Nearly Got Someone to Come In
Scientology: the blind leading the blind... Can you imagine any scientology organization being so starved for anyone coming in to take a service that they produce a promo piece about someone who announces a "big win" that someone is GOING TO come in at some unnamed time in the future? This is the true state of scientology today, small and miserably failing organizations. The only thing keeping the place afloat are the whales who continue to hand over cash for "planetary campaigns" and "ideal orgs." They have a single location where they are funneling the few people on service -- … [Read more...]
Twitter Cracks Down on #ScnPsychoTerror
Thanks to some excellent and diligent work by friends on Twitter, led by the formidable Stefani Hutchison, two of the primary scientology psychoterror accounts have been suspended and the first "Stand League" account also. If you missed my post of yesterday concerning scientology psychological terrorism, please read it. One prong of scientology terrorism campaigns has been to abuse social media and the internet with endless lies about people they target. Scientology has the ability to devote huge amounts of tax-free money and free labor resources into creating an overwhelming volume of … [Read more...]
