Thursday Funnies

December 30, 2021 By Mike Rinder 33 Comments

Tourist Promo Interesting how all promo for Dublin org features the "beauty of Ireland" as the first selling point. I thought this org was put there to "Clear Ireland," the Irish don't need to go to a scientology org to experience the beauty of Ireland. They live there.   Correct Title: Scientology Winter Festival The "community" (wogs) are just there for show. They are not much use to the regges.   Kiddie Corner     Merry R6 Implant Day You would think they could at least not be totally insulting and say "Happy … [Read more...]

Lots of found parking spaces and caught the green light... There's been a pretty big devaluation of "OT phenomena"   AOLA could use some of this... Wonder why these guys who are so good aren't 10X the success of the orgs?   Instead of being on course? Oh my....   Unites? This is the big IAS event this year? Wow   The First Ideal Continent... Just Canberra, Adelaide and Brisbane to go for an ideal "Continent" -- but not a single org in India, China, Indonesia etc. Seems just a little bit of a hollow … [Read more...]

Flourish and Prosper? Andres Rodriguez has been in the Sea Org forever. What does he know about flourishing and prospering?    It's time for spiritual freedom... And they have a "completion" -- though not an OT level. No doubt she got a bunch of sec checking.   The Chan Man is Back.... Not sure he ever went anywhere. You gotta hear his take on "solvent particles" -- it's "Part 2." so tough if you missed part 1. Is this a Chemistry lesson? Or perhaps he is teaching people how to open a cleaning business?   The Caped Crusader Dr. … [Read more...]

The IAS Event This Year Is Hysterical

October 16, 2021 By Mike Rinder 81 Comments

Well, I had wondered earlier what they were going to do for the IAS event this year -- they sent out "Save the date" promo for October 16.   Now the great mystery has been solved. What a joke. The event they have forced people to watch 100 times already is the big draw for this year's annual IAS celebration? That is hysterical not historical… Surely, with an entire "state-of-the-art" TV studio at their disposal (remember how it was going to "break down the walls of dissemination"?) and a "state-of-the-art" film/sound production facility they could come up with something … [Read more...]

10 weeks with Arte Maren... People PAY for this?   Amount raised - $0 This is her birthday fundraiser that's been up for a year. She is the Snr C/S of the Portland "ideal" org   Wait until you find out... Actually you have to pay more to get that ability because you really cannot confront life until you are done with OT III. And then OT V. And then OT VII. And on and on...   That's a real stretch... Many of these people OD'd -- First guy on their list, Don Simpson was in scientology for a while. Didn't save him.   Buried … [Read more...]

She not only found "truth"... She got a job. Oh dear. Wait until she gets her "pay"...     Why is St Hill pitching itself in Spanish? They are supposed to service the UK. AOSHEU is supposed to service Europe. Of course, the problem is there aren't enough Clears being made in the UK (if any) so they have to look elsewhere. The real state of scientology.   A virtual "briefing" The difference between this and a reg call? Absolutely nothing.   Come join us in quarantine! Episode 56: Mat Pesch Former Scientology Finance Guy

August 30, 2021 By Mike Rinder 64 Comments

One of our favorites joins us this week, Mat Pesch. Mat was formerly in charge of the money-making and money control divisions at the Flag Land Base -- the single largest source of revenue for scientology on earth. Mat joined us on The Aftermath S 2 Ep 9 The Business of Religion. His no nonsense explanations of the inner-workings of the scientology business machine are at times humorous, but always horrifying. We cover a lot of ground in this episode. Mat was the Dissemination Secretary, over the 2nd (of 7) divisions of a scientology organization responsible for marketing, booksales and … [Read more...]

Some Funnies on Thursday

August 26, 2021 By Mike Rinder 69 Comments

Just a few of the things that have been forwarded to me recently. Some are a little old. But nothing really changes in scientology, it just gets smaller. People have been asking for Thursday Funnies to come back. It somewhat depends on what comes in. Once the pandemic hit, the volume of promotional items they sent out decreased. But it seems to be coming back now. Not sure if I will do this every Thursday, but here is an installment to satisfy the need for some humor on this topic.   "Get some of the most praised products!" Huh? And what might they be? This place is … [Read more...]

Is Scientology an Investment?

January 16, 2021 By Mike Rinder 32 Comments

Old Wil Seabrook is at it again. These STAND flunkies are entirely predictable. Anything that is a touchy subject for scientology (in this case, their merciless money-grubbing) is taken up and presented as if it's a GOOD thing. Let's just dissect a few of Wil's statements. One thing that people ask me is why Scientologists make donations for their services. I think there’s an idea that help, especially of a religious nature, should be free. But once you start to examine that concept, it’s easy to see that nothing in life is ever actually free and that resources are required to do … [Read more...]

What Is Needed?

October 18, 2020 By Mike Rinder 95 Comments

What is needed? You don't need to tune in to get an answer to this question. It is IAS Anniversary event month and there is no IAS event. They are scrambling... Money, money, money is what is needed. It’s the only thing that is ever needed. “We need to keep our 4th dynamic campaigns going that are helping billions of people every week... blah blah blah” Hubbard laid it out: MAKE MONEY. MAKE MORE MONEY. MAKE OTHER PEOPLE PRODUCE SO AS TO MAKE MONEY. Scientology is exclusively about money. If an activity does not generate income it dies a very fast death in the scientology … [Read more...]
