Scientology are exposing themselves again. Years ago, the Ocala Mission was opened with great fanfare as the first "Ideal" mission. It has been promoted this way since. I visited this Mission some time after it was declared ideal and the Hungarian receptionist was unable to help me when I asked some questions about Dianetics and told me to come back on Tuesday evening (it was a Saturday afternoon as I recall) when the Mission ED would be there and that he could help. There wasn't anyone else in the place. Now this: They don't have the staff to be "ideal" -- apparently they don't … [Read more...]
Flag OTC Minutes
Some epic news hot off the press from the mighty Flag OT Committee... Fundraising, fundraising and more fundraising. Orlando NOW has 35 staff. Wow! And they are "doing very well on recruiting." Once again, scientology discloses the fact they are spending tens of millions of dollars for a building for people that do not exist. 35 staff (and you can bet this figure is bs as EVERY figure ever presented by scientology is ALWAYS bs) is supposed to be the size of a Mission. They have another 165 staff to go to be SH size and a real "ideal org." They're not even 20% of the way … [Read more...]
More on Conditions in Scientology
It's SaTerraDay More on Conditions in Scientology According L. Ron Hubbard: “A Danger Condition is normally assigned when: An Emergency Condition has continued too long. A statistic plunges downward very steeply. A senior executive suddenly finds himself or herself wearing the hat of the head of the activity because it is in trouble.” First Dynamic Formula Bypass habits or normal routines. Handle the situation and any danger in it. Assign self a Danger Condition. Get in your own personal ethics by finding what you are doing that is out-ethics and use self- … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies
The endless pitch... It's always about to happen. Donors of a New Eternity? What happened to the old eternity? Did you know? This "expedition" was a total catastrophic bust. But that doesn't match the scientology version in which everything Hubbard ever did was amazing... Missed a few... Poor. Overworked. Tired. Ethics trouble. Not clear. Exclusive (?) Briefing Why? The "latest news" is deja vu all over again. It's "coming".... Poor suckers Every "ideal org" that struggled to raise their last dollars, and … [Read more...]
Scientology Expasion is Biggest In History
Michael D splains the expasion which is the biggest in history (and yes, he spells it wrong twice in the opening para). He may be an IAS Freedom Medal Winner but it does not mean he can spell (he probably did the Student Hat too -- that apparently was no help either). Of course, it's ALWAYS the biggest in history... But let me ask you something Michael. What measure of expasion are you using? Certainly not the number of new orgs and missions opened. There were none. Certainly not the number of OT VIII's made. Nor the number of new people into scientology. Or courses … [Read more...]
The Ultimate Sleazy Fundraiser
Anything is good reason to hand over your cash in the world of scientology... A disaster. A new building. Ron's birthday. Your birthday. The end of the year. Thursday at 2. The Super Bowl... But this one, from Mr. CCHR himself, the Financial Investment Advisor, Author, IAS Freedom Medal Winner, Keynote Speaker, IAS Reg and all around homo novis, is over the top even by scientology standards: Bruce Wiseman is pitching people to give $20 a month for the "majestic" commercials (this last one was anything BUT majestic -- confusing drivel more like, with a condescending "we thought so" … [Read more...]
Scientology Tax Exemption — Muffins Strikes Back
Clearly, David Miscavige is feeling the mounting pressure on his most cherished treasure: tax exempt status bestowed on scientology by the IRS in 1993. It takes considerable effort to get a letter published about a relatively obscure subject in a major paper like the LA Times. It is apparently a response to an op-ed piece that ran last November. 3 months of work to get this miserable piece of misleading propaganda to run... Monique "Muffins" Yingling makes a rare appearance to argue on behalf of Miscavige. She has been as out of sight as the COB himself since her fateful appearance on 20/20 … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies on Sunday
Due to a brain fart, I messed up the days of the week. As promised, here are the Funnies today... It only takes a day? Wow, there are some others orgs that would like to know how you plan to pull this off... Rapper and Humanitarian... What a combo. But they forgot his number one profession. Registrar trying to get commissions. That's an awful lot of Muhammads... And look at those guest speakers -- it tells you everything you need to know. This isn't going to be about spiritual enlightenment. It's going to only be about lightening your … [Read more...]
Scientology Condition of Liability
Scientology Condition of Liability I’m always amazed at the ability of Scientologists to turn a blind eye to the LRH tech and policy they’ve sworn to follow and uphold. I should know. From my first week as a student on the Communication Course way back when, I put on blinders every time I walked in the mission. The more I studied, the more I knew things weren’t completely right. Then again, there was this young blonde girl... But I digress. Per L. Ron Hubbard’s Condition of Liability, “Below Non-Existence there is the Condition of Liability. The being has ceased to be simply non-existent as a … [Read more...]

The Shrinking World of Scientology
It is hard to imagine 10 or 20 years ago that the March 13th event in LA would NOT be held in the Shrine Auditorium. It was one of the BIG events that was always held in a big venue. Back in the day, there were also big events for Auditor's Day and May 9th held at the Shrine Auditorium. The Auditor's Day event was first to go. It was too close to the IAS event and too soon after the Maiden Voyage -- AND it was not a big money-maker and celebrating auditors was not high on Miscavige's priority list. First Dear Leader stopped attending, then it became a "local" event (ie no central … [Read more...]
David Miscavige Leader of Men
Of course, though the STAAD League blocked me from seeing their tweets (though I am the subject of a lot of them...) people send me some of their drivel every now and then. This one came in a little while ago. If you looked up "brown-nosing" in the dictionary you might well find this tweet presented as an example. "Mr." David Miscavige (nobody DARE refer to him as merely "David Miscavige" or heaven forbid, "David" or perish the thought, "Dave") has apparently marked many wayposts on the path to peace (like a dog peeing on a fire hydrant?) and somehow they "pointed" to a better … [Read more...]
More Scientology Spying
Tony Ortega has another excellent expose of scientology's spying activities on his blog this morning. If you have not done so, read it there. He links to a recent article here written by my wife about another of these spies, which in turn contains other links to scientology spying pieces. … [Read more...]
So Explain This CF I Keep Hearing About
A lot of people are curious about the "CF filing" that scientology obsesses over. It is a mystery to many of the uninitiated, though certainly anyone who has been around an org knows about CF and its perpetual backlog of filing. "Central Files" is a Hubbard invention to keep track of everyone that has ever bought a book or taken a service in a scientology organization. Each person has a file folder (or many as time goes on) that includes copies of all invoices (yes, invoices for payments are still written with colored copies to be filed in Accounts Files, Student and PC Files and Central … [Read more...]
