This just struck me as the ultimate in ridiculous, enforced "success stories." It is a perfect example of the "technology" proclaiming something and then the person who pays for it comes out the other side certain they have achieved what they were told they were going to achieve beforehand. Though there is no way this is real, it is shrouded in "subjective reality." This is confirmation bias exemplified. Confirmation bias occurs from the direct influence of desire on beliefs. When people would like a certain idea or concept to be true, they end up believing it to be true. They are … [Read more...]
Scientology BS Grows Deeper
Scientology had this 116 page "rebuttal" magazine ready to distribute in Clearwater on Sunday immediately after the Tampa Bay Times bombshell dropped. It had been prepared and printed well in advance, with staged photo shoots and 116 pages of PR fluffery and outright bs ready to drop without the inconvenience of having read the article. In fact, it arrived in Clearwater mailboxes Monday morning, so it was mailed even before the article was published. A large percentage of the magazine consists of flowery pages of "I am a Scientologist" stuff. This is basically a rehash of what is shown … [Read more...]
Clearwater Politicians Weigh In
An interesting follow up piece by Tracey McManus quoting reaction from members of the Clearwater City Government to her bombshell expose from yesterday. Unsurprisingly, the Clearwater politicos don't have much to offer in terms of how this happened to their city, what they think it means or more importantly, what they are going to do about it. They have been overwhelmed by a far more sophisticated and well-funded opponent that doesn’t care whether they hurt anyone’s feelings as long as they get their way. Politicians in Clearwater in the last couple of decades have been more concerned about … [Read more...]
Scientology Has Bought Clearwater
Tracey McManus' meticulously researched article dominating the front page of this morning's Tampa Bay Times is a bombshell. I doubt many people in Clearwater realized just how complete scientology's takeover of the downtown is. This is why I have been supporting and promoting Mark Bunker for the city council. Scientology ALWAYS Comes First Why Elect Mark Bunker? And the urgency of this is further highlighted by a passage in the article. For the non-residents of Clearwater let me give you a little background that is explained in the article. It concerns the dispute … [Read more...]
Grooming the “Next Generation” of “Org Execs”
This is how scientologists are groomed from an early age. Indoctrination into the Hubbard "study tech" which teaches you that if something he said doesn't make sense, it is simply because there is a word or symbol you have not understood. According to Valentina Smith, these are the "next generation of org execs". Valentina is one of the Admins on the "Scientology - Perth" Facebook group (where this was posted). As I recall, she is one of the lonely staff of the Perth "ideal org", though I may be mistaken. Scientology increasingly relies on second and third generations to be their "new … [Read more...]

Free Ice Cream Apparently George is George is a whale who supports this mission. He is like the Good Humor Man... Really not looking good... Bobby Wiggins is sadly not much of an advertisement for "OT VII Super Power Completion" This their plaque? They can't even get the first name right? Such a terrible lie And they put it out every year around this time. Seriously? Now that's an offer you can't refuse... Worst photoshop ever Looks like a cardboard cutout pasted onto the … [Read more...]
Clearwater Jazz Festival
Generally, scientology does not proselytize for new members in downtown Clearwater. They don't try to recruit new members -- "Flag" is for existing scientologists who make the pilgrimage to hand over cash and participate in advanced scientology courses and auditing. In fact, scientology would prefer there were NO "wogs" (non-scientologists) in the downtown area at all. They want it to be 100% scientologists. But there is a local "mission" in Belleair that is for "new people" who may be introduced in some fashion by scientologists in the local area (it is also where those who don't … [Read more...]
Nation of Islam’s “Supreme Technology”
It's Hubbard v. Farrkhan. In the world of fringe beliefs this is King Kong v. Godzilla. Who will come out on top? Louis is making a concerted effort to get the upper hand. For the "KSW" scientologists of the world, this must really rankle. Calypso Louis is taking credit for "giving" the NOI "The Supreme Technology (Dianetic Auditing)"... Not acknowledging or attributing Source is a serious crime in the fundamentalist world of scientology. It just highlights once again how bizarre this marriage is. Under normal circumstances this would be a "Matter of RTC … [Read more...]
How Many Staff Does an “Ideal Org” need?
Here we have it, straight from the horses mouth - an ideal org is supposed to have 268 staff. Along with their usual foolishness, the Flag OT Committee announced that Chicago has "finished its fundraising" (right....) and that they can now concentrate on getting the staff they need. They have 29 staff now... Which is probably more than a lot of orgs. INCLUDING the ideal ones. Walk into Orlando or Salt Lake City or Malmo or Basel or Perth and see if you can find even 15 staff. I guarantee the MAJORITY of "ideal orgs" have less than 25 staff. The images they constantly … [Read more...]
Scientology.TV: Hit or Miss?
They are promoting "Season 4" of scientology.tv. Of course, their "seasons" consist of a few episodes of the same shows they have been airing since the launch of the "network". Meet a scientologist. Visit a city where a scientology org is. Wisdom from Ron. There are no audience figures available as the "network" has no advertisers and is not monitored by any normal tv audience monitoring system. So they claim it’s a roaring success. Like they know what the actual statistics of every ideal org is but because they keep those stats secret they simply claim they are all “expanding 10X” an … [Read more...]
Scientology ALWAYS Comes First
Here is a perfect example of why scientologists cannot be trusted in positions where they are supposed to act in the public interest. Paris Morfopolous is the poster child of a fundamentalist scientologist. He has been a scientology business owner that has relied on scientologists' patronage in downtown Clearwater for decades. He is the head of Clearwater's Downtown Development Board. Tony Ortega's article describing Morfopolous' rant against Mark Bunker at the most recent DDB meeting tells the most recent story of his dedication to following the dictates of L. Ron Hubbard. With the … [Read more...]

Freedom for all California... One more empty building and California will be free at last! Not a chance ANYONE actually buys this. But the rah-rah seems to impress. California Not Done Sir
After enormous hype and hoopla, the big "Put a Bow On It" "California Done Sir" event is over. And in typical scientology style, there are a lot of claims of "we ARE doing it" but the fact is, they are NOT DONE still. All of California has "united" to get the "final" org in California to "ideal" and the demands for money are apparently never-ending. This is the announcement they sent out to let everyone know that it was a "huge success" -- even though it was NOT what was promised. They still didn't complete it and still haven't been able to say "Done Sir" though this was … [Read more...]
