We are joined by Jeff Hawkins, an extremely talented, thoughtful and articulate former Sea Org member to recount his experiences with David Miscavige, his role in making Dianetics a bestseller again the 80's and his journey into and out of scientology. He is the author of 3 books on the subject. Episode 77: Jefferson Hawkins Jeff's brilliant book Counterfeit Dreams Leaving Scientology Closing Minds The Sociopath Next Door One of the famous Dianetics "Question" ads from 1980's that Jeff … [Read more...]
Clearwater Election — Don’t Support Scientology
The Clearwater City Council election is coming up on March 15. Just over a month away. Every reader of this blog is aware that Aaron Smith-Levin is seeking election to the City Council. His opponent in the race is Lina Teixeira. Aaron has just done a video detailing specific reasons why she is not just soft on scientology, but actively works with them to influence matters in downtown Clearwater. This is something all voters in Clearwater need to know. Spread it on social media as you can. If you want to support Aaron's campaign, click here. … [Read more...]
What is the Political Affiliation of Scientologists?
Over the years, many people have asked about the political views and affiliations of scientologists. Every time I ask for questions for a listener Q and A episode of the Fair Game Podcast, this question comes up. Of course, while there can be no blanket generalization about the politics of a group composed of individuals, individualism is not encouraged in scientology. One is expected to toe the party line. So you tend to see a lot of people subscribing to the same views about everything. Thanks to Aaron Smith-Levin taking the time to count voters registered at scientology buildings in … [Read more...]

Kiddie Corner Unleash your OT Abilities If all it takes is a webinar, why bother paying for anything? Those Canadians are the experts... The Continental Org, Toronto, has been languishing for 20 years undone and they already had a building! Listen to "Paul" But why? Someone started! It used to be they celebrated someone finishing something.... OT 1 is some OT shit... As long as you have no idea what it entails. Otherwise you know it's kind of like ARC Straightwire. Really? What Ideal … [Read more...]
Super Bowl BS
Unfortunately, it's that time of year again. Each Super Bowl, Scientology does their best to litter the parking lot with fliers people have been handed out and just as quickly thrown away. Usually it is these "Drug Free World Booklets" and also Way To Happiness. And you know neither of them make mention of scientology. There is absolutely NO evidence at all that handing out their booklets "results in less crime and less drug use." These fools really believe that a pamphlet is going to stop a criminal from committing a crime or anyone from using drugs? The only PROVEN result of … [Read more...]
Episode 76: Professor Aharon Friedman
Aharon Friedman is a professor of Physics and Electrical Engineering, a former scientologist and today serves on the Board of the Israeli Center for Cults’ Victims. Unlike L. Ron Hubbard, he really IS a nuclear physicist, his official title is Head - Schlesinger Knowledge Center for Accelerators and Radiation Sources. We talk about his experiences in scientology, what drove him to escape and his work helping victims of cults today. The brilliant book Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl about his time in Nazi concentration camps and what he learned from his ex … [Read more...]
Quarantine Award at Flag
Things must be desperate at Flag. They are GIVING AWAY "free" accommodations for your quarantine stay if you come to Flag now and complete a service before March 13. You still have to pay for your food. They're not going to give away something that costs them anything. Putting people in empty rooms only incurs the cost of the lights and some hot water for showers. The rooms would be there sitting empty otherwise. The slave labor Sea Org maids are there -- if they don't have any rooms to clean they have them writing letters. What is most remarkable about this is they still … [Read more...]
The Bob Duggan Seminar
Since he separated from his wife, Trish, there has been some speculation as to whether Bob Duggan remained a scientologist. While Trish has been visible handing over more and more cash to various scientology "fundraisers," Bob has been relatively quiet. He got himself a new, younger replacement for Trish and they have a son. She appears to have never been a scientologist, but given the above, I assume she is being groomed as one now. Obviously, he remains a fully committed cult member. The pitch on this promo is pretty sickening. They are touting him having done Super Power as the … [Read more...]

An International Top Executive Not top enough to be named... But this is going to "blow you away" Never heard that before. Wonder what happened? The WTH "movement" in 2014 seems to have petered out Kiddie Corner Sad 13,000 scientology staff in the world? Not a chance -- but even if there was, each one is responsible for clearing 573,709 people? You want to advertise this? Sounds exciting Not really. Scientology Hate and Discrimination Exposed
This is the bleat they repeat over and over. "We stand for everyone's human rights" and "we protect the rights of everyone to practice the religion of their choice" -- what they don't say out loud is the rest of the sentence: "UNTIL it is inconvenient for us." One need look no further than the recent California Appeals Court decision in the Masterson case. Tony Ortega covered the decision at the Underground Bunker It held in part (emphasis mine): Individuals have a First Amendment right to leave a religion. We hold that once petitioners had terminated their affiliation with … [Read more...]
Episode 75: Marc Headley on Scientology and the Internet
We welcome back our old friend Marc Headley to talk about Scientology and the internet, including covering the bonkers domain names scientology has registered, and how they have unsuccessfully attempted to control access to information on the World Wide Web. We ARE Clearing the Planet — Proof
Some news from the model ideal org in Los Angeles. Over 880 Clear (or "near Clear") in just the last few years alone. Best case scenario, the "few" years is the minimum it can be which is three. That is a bit less than 300 per year. 6 per week. More likely, the "last few years" is since they went "ideal" in 2010. That is 12 years. About 75 per year or 1.5 per week. Most likely they are counting this from when they became a full Sea Org "model ideal" in October 2014, with 200 imported SO members. That is 7 years. Confirming that is the likely time period, here is their hype … [Read more...]
Scientology is Smaller in the US than in Tanzania?
I sometimes take a look at the Amazon Alexa website rankings for scientology sites vs this blog and Tony Ortega's. You can see one example here from earlier: This topic came up in a recent interview, (in fact, the podcast episode for next week) so I checked in again. I was somewhat surprised to see scientology.org ranking steadily climbing. It makes no sense. Nothing in the world of scientology would indicate any increased interest in the subject.... Obviously things had been left adrift, as 90 days ago the site was ranked … [Read more...]
